[edit] JISC virtual research environments programme
The JISC funded Sakai VRE demonstrator is hosted by the Darsbury Laboratory of the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Council's Grid Technology Group and Grids.ac.uk in the UK.
JISC has recently allocated a further £2 million to continue the activities of its Virtual Research Environments (VRE) programme, which aims to build and deploy collaborative multi-disciplinary VREs, bringing together tools and technologies to demonstrate how researchers can better manage their increasingly complex tasks.
